GoBiG Meeting March 19

It’s time for the third GoBiG meeting this year. Note that it will be an early meeting this month, due to Easter coming up, so book Tuesday the 19th already today!

SPECIAL NOTE:

– Please remember to think about good subjects for a tool/technique discussion meeting later this spring. These could be broad or narrow, and the suggestions will be discussed at the beginning of the upcoming GoBiG Meeting.

LONG VERSION:
Our Master of Article, Chandan Pal, has selected an article still hot from the printer on the subject of quality control of Illumina sequencing data. I think this opens for an interesting discussion on quality control and filtering tools, so I’m hoping for an exciting meeting!

The meeting will take place in the conference room at the Endocrinology department at Sahlgrenska. We will meet at 15.00 in the lunch room to start with some tea and coffee, and then go on to the article discussion.

Afterwards we will continue to the restaurant Lilla Tavernan, where we have reserved a table at 18.00 (http://www.lillatavernan.se/lilla-tavernan-meny.pdf) There is no need to pre-pick food this time.
