What we do

The research in the lab aims to use molecular methods in combination with ecological theory to understand microbial communities and their interactions, in order to improve human and environmental health. The lab has been involved in the development of several bioinformatics tools, including the widely used ITSx and Metaxa software, and we also maintain a strong interest in maintaining and improving accuracy and reliability of sequence databases.
